Education
The majority of the students we provide an education for are studying in grades 1 to 12. We are also providing vocational training and university places for the children after they finish high school. Some of the children we have helped have now gone on to successful careers in Cambodia, Japan and South Korea. |

Outreach School
We have just opened our first outreach school. It has been a long process but we are very happy and excited about what this means to the children and families we will be helping.
FocusThe focus is on helping children who work as scavengers collecting rubbish with a family member.
|
Why we provide helpScavenging is dangerous, dirty work which keeps the children away from progressing at school.
By providing directed learning we can help these students pass the yearly exam and even sit extra exams that will allow them to jump a year. We have already done this in the past with great success. By helping in this way children can graduate High School and go on to follow their dreams. |
The Students
A lot of the children work as scavengers collecting rubbish to sell to help their families. They make between $1.50 to $2.00 for working 12 hours. The school was officially opened in February 2020 and despite regular closures due to Covid we have been able to help support these children, often teaching outside next to where they live. The school is a support one to the state school. We help enrol children who have never attended school and support all of them to improve so they can eventually graduate high school.
