Our Story
Ray of Light Cambodia started out as a small fundraiser to put three young people into English and Khmer classes in order to help them have a successful future. That fundraiser was a unicycle ride around Mochu lake. The generosity of the Nanjing International School community meant that more money came in than was originally needed. As a result, five young Khmer students were able to attend school. This inspired more fundraisers and Ray of Light Cambodia was born. We are made up of volunteers who give our time freely to organize events and manage how the money is used to benefit disadvantaged young people in Cambodia. You can see how the money is used on the donate page of this site. Over the years Ray of Light Cambodia has helped hundreds of children realise their goals in life. We currently work directly with SFODA. Our projects do change from year to year. However, our main focus is always education.
